Sunbury Design Lusso FR Velvet is a sophisticated upholstery fabric that combines the luxurious appearance of traditional mohair velvet with the durability required for demanding commercial interiors.

Featuring a deep, plush pile and subtle lustrous sheen, Lusso creates a rich, tactile finish that brings warmth, elegance and contemporary appeal to upholstered furniture. Its mohair-inspired texture makes it ideal for statement sofas, armchairs, headboards and seating in hotels, restaurants and other hospitality environments.

The fabric is made from 35% acrylic, 30% recycled polyester, 23% modacrylic and 12% wool. Weighing 612 gsm and measuring 140 cm wide, it offers a substantial feel and an abrasion rating of 55,000 Martindale rubs. It also achieves 70,000 Wyzenbeek double rubs.

For added practicality, Lusso incorporates Sunbury Design’s Evergreen easy-clean and antiviral treatment, with a PFAS-free finish. The fabric is woven using GRS-certified recycled fibres and is halogen-free in its fire-retardant specification, REACH compliant and manufactured to OEKO-TEX Standard 100.

Lusso meets a range of fire-retardancy requirements, including BS EN 1021 Parts 1 and 2, BS 7176 Medium Hazard over CMHR 35 foam, IMO Part 8, CAL 117, NFPA 260 and UNI 9175 Class 1.IM. Always ensure the completed furniture meets the fire-safety requirements for its intended application.

Available in 30 colours, the collection offers a rich palette ranging from understated neutrals to bold accent shades, making it versatile for both contemporary and classic interior schemes.
