Returns Policy
Custom-Cut Orders
Please note that due to the custom-cut nature of our products (fabric cut from the roll), we are unable to accept returns for reasons such as personal preference or change of mind.
We strongly recommend requesting samples before placing an order to ensure you are satisfied with the fabric. Samples are available at a fee of £3.00 for up to 3 swatches. Orders placed without prior sampling are made at the customer’s own risk.
Delivery and Failed Deliveries
Please ensure someone is available to receive your order at the delivery address provided. If an order is returned to us due to failed delivery, a restocking fee (up to 30%) will apply.
Non-Delivery and Delays
We aim to deliver all orders promptly and within the timeframes stated at checkout. However, delivery dates are estimates only and may be affected by factors beyond our reasonable control, including courier delays, adverse weather, or supply chain issues.
To report a non-delivery or delay, please contact us at info@upholstery-fabrics.co.uk within 7 days of the expected delivery date.
Our liability for any loss or damage resulting from late delivery or non-delivery is limited to the value of the goods ordered. We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential loss arising from a delay in delivery.
Ownership and risk in the goods pass to you upon delivery to the address provided at the time of purchase.
By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and agree to these delivery terms in accordance with UK consumer protection laws.
Colour Disclaimer
While every effort is made to display fabrics as accurately as possible, colour shades may vary between screens. We always recommend requesting a sample before ordering.
Returns Under Distance Selling Regulations
In accordance with Distance Selling Regulation 17, customers may return certain items at their own cost within 7 working days of receipt.
- Returns must be arranged with us in advance.
- No returns will be accepted without prior agreement.
- Items must be returned in original packaging, on the roll, unused, and undamaged.
Damaged or Faulty Goods
- Damaged parcels must be signed for as “Damaged” upon delivery.
- Please inspect your goods immediately on receipt.
- If you receive faulty goods, contact us before cutting the fabric. Once cut, no refund or replacement will be available.
- Fabric must be returned before a replacement is sent.
- Claims must be made within 7 working days of receipt. Claims made after several months cannot be accepted.
Customer Responsibility
We strongly advise customers to check their fabric carefully upon delivery, even if they do not plan to use it immediately. Once the fabric is cut by the customer, we cannot offer an exchange or refund.
If fabric is returned, it must be:
- In its original packaging,
- On the roll,
- Unused and undamaged.
All returned items will be inspected. Refunds will be processed for qualifying items, less any delivery, transaction charges, and restocking fees (up to 30%).

- Customers are responsible for the safe return of goods. We are not liable for items lost or damaged in transit.
